Farewell To Brian Cox

As Brian Cox retires from the Sponsors Board of Directors, we want to take a moment to thank him for his contributions and wish him the best. His passion and expertise will be missed.

Brian shares, “I’ve been committed to volunteering to support my community and fellow human beings all my life, and Sponsors has been a wonderful extension of that commitment. I first became aware of Sponsors while providing criminal defense to indigent clients in Lane County. I was always looking for constructive alternatives to prison that could positively impact the outcomes for people accused and their families. I felt that simply sending someone to jail could never accomplish anything good for our community. Over time, I became aware of the positive impact Sponsors was having assisting people after their incarceration. I became a supporter and a huge fan from afar, and was happy to help when the Board was looking for someone with a background in law enforcement, criminal defense and housing law. Since joining the Board, I’ve always been impressed by the committed, intelligent, compassionate, forward-thinking work of the Sponsors Board, Staff and volunteers. I will always be grateful for being invited to help make a difference in our community by advancing the Sponsors mission.”

Thanks Brian! We’ve been lucky to have your dedication to the Board, and we are grateful for all you’ve given.
